Time To Get A Lil' Spooky

Yes ladies and gentlemen, it is October.  We all know what that means.  Halloween time!  Now we've all experience the corny haunted hay rides and scary movies that come out around this time.  We're a bit old for trick or treating now... so what do we do?  Ahhh I know! Eastern State Penitentiary.  This is an old, huge prison that is now abandon and lays in ruins.  Every October they do a haunted house called Terror Behind the Walls.  This has been ranked as one of America's best haunted houses.  Now let me tell you I am not scared very easily.  I am always that person to ruin the movie by saying, "Oh come on that was so fake!"  But let me tell you, this place scared the you know what outta me.  If you have the stomach to be really scared, this is the place to go.  Not only does it give you a crazy haunted house experience where everything looks so real, but it takes you on a tour afterwards where you can actually learn the history of the prison.  It is said to be actually haunted which makes it that much scarier. You have to buy tickets and wait on a long line but it is SO worth it.  It becomes a fun night with your friends and gives you an experience I am positive you have never had before.  The best part is it's not too far from Eastern University at all.  It takes exactly a half hour to get there, it is located in Philadelphia.  The address is 2027 Fairmount Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19130.  You can plug that right into your GPS or mapquest and it will give you easy directions.  You also have the option of taking the train in.  Monday- Thursday the tickets are $20 dollars and you can go anytime between 7-11 pm.  Sundays tickets are $25 and Fridays and Saturdays they are $30.  All of the days have the same hours, 7-11.  Remember, if you like to be scared DO NOT miss out!  If you would like to learn more visit http://www.easternstate.org/halloween.

  1. I like the theme you used for this post with the different colored fonts. I should visit this place one day or next year.
